COVER PAGE INDICATOR – DOLLAR

Cover page stories make the cover page indicator. When an asset makes it to the top of a popular magazine, the news or information is already a part of mass psychology sentiment. This is why cover page ideas have been used as sentiment indices. Journal of Indices may not be a top popular journal, but dollar on the cover page is no surprise. This is the second day in a row after Niall Ferguson talked about dollar demise we have the Journal talking about death of dollar. One has to think. If the news is so known and dollar has been falling since Mar 09, is it not late in the day to talk about demise of an asset. The cover page is few months late anyway. Our dollar view continues to look at intermediate and potentially a multi month strengthening case on dollar.
